Last night I attended a pre-Valentine dinner at?Prelude by Barton G??located withing the?Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.?The menu was created by Ted Mendez Executive Corporate Chef for Barton G and his Prelude team.?Godiva?gave Mendez and his crew the task of creating a menu with Godiva Chocolate vodkas. Those familiar with the Barton G brand know if any assemblage of talent can handle the chore of producing a menu with?chocolate flavored vodka, it would be Team Barton G. And to the task they rose; in true?Barton G?style first there was a cooking and cocktail demo explaining and showing the dinner guests how each dish and drink is made. It was a whimsical culinary evening ?just as you would expect with a menu that served:

Godiva Midnight Martini
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Godiva Chocolate Vodka
Strawberry wedge for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour Godiva Chocolate Vodka into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well and strain into a martini glass.
- Garnish with a strawberry wedge.
Ideal Serving Glass:
Martini glass

The Love Note
Paired with first course: Godiva Chocolate Vodka Cured Tuna with Thai Basil Salad
Ingredients:
1 ounce Godiva Chocolate Raspberry Vodka
1/2 ounce Cr?me de Cassis
Champagne
Preparation:
- Combine Godiva Chocolate Raspberry Vodka and Cr?me de Cassis in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well and strain into a Champagne flute.
- Top off drink with chilled Champagne.
Ideal Serving Glass:
Champagne flute

The Ultimate Chocolate Manhattan
Paired with second course: ?Godiva Chocolate Raspberry Glazed Duck Comfit with Sourdough, Cranberry and Sage Stuffing
Ingredients:
2/3 ounce Godiva Chocolate Raspberry I Vodka
1 toounce Zacapa Rum
3/4 teaspoon of sugar
1 1/3 ounces soda for top
2 mint leaves
1 lime wedges
1 sage leaf
Preparation:
- Muddle lime, mint, sage and sugar in a cocktail shaker.? Add ice.
- Add Godiva Chocolate Raspberry Vodka and Zacapa Rum into the cocktail shaker. Shake well
- Strain into a Collins glass over ice.
- Top with soda.
Ideal Serving Glass:
Collins glass

The Caramel Kiss
Paired with dessert course: Godiva Chocolate Vodka Infused Tres Leches Cake with Godiva Caramel Liqueur Banana Praline
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Godiva Chocolate Vodka
1/4 ounce of Godiva Caramel Liqueur
1/2 ounce of almond liqueur
1 ounce of cream
Preparation:
- Combine Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, Godiva Caramel Liqueur, almond liqueur and cream into a cocktail shaker. Shake well.
- Strain into a Port glass.
Ideal Serving Glass:
Port glass
